Review of Ivins, Utah

Wonderful place to retire!
Star Rating - 12/3/2017
We live in SoCal, but bought a home in Ivins in 2005 that we spend getaway time at and possibly plan to retire to. Great place - great people! No regrets. What a love about Ivins is that you can spend so much time outdoors enjoying nature; people are friendly and you can count on home maintenance and delivery people to do good work, on time and at reasonable cost. Lots to do here. Close enough to Vegas if you want some nightlife. The only negative for me is the hot, dry Summers. If you have someplace to flee to in Summer, this is a great place to retire if you love the outdoors.

I have lived in Ivins for the past 6 years. It is gorgeous with the red rock. The quality of houses they build here (recently) are stellar. Our parade of homes is some of the best in the nation. If you are retirement age, this is a good place to be. If you are not retirement age or minded, you'll get bored. I just turned 50 and i tell people that I moved here too early. I find the lack of good food a drag and as a non-Mormon, the socialization options are limited. In my opinion, you have to be Mormon, a fitness nut or elderly to live here right now. Definitely do NOT move here single and non-Mormon and think you'll meet someone to date here. Even when Mormons say they are no longer Mormons, they are Mormons to those of us who have never been Mormon.
