Review of Medina, New York

Living in Medina, NY
Star Rating - 3/9/2011
Medina is a small village in Upstate New York. There is a lot of history in Medina with beautiful old buildings, houses, and churches. We are on the Erie Canal, about 40 miles east of Rochester, NY and 40 miles West of Buffalo, NY. Apples grow in abundance and we have farmland. There is very little crime and our schools are good. We have a snowy blizzard occasionally but other than that we enjoy 4 usable and unique seasons. While there are not shopping malls, museums, etc. in Medina, we are close enough to Buffalo & Rochester to experience both. There are beautiful parks and boat launches along Lake Ontario. There are also several other villages to enjoy that are close by. Skiing is an hour away and festivals are many. We can enjoy all of this while living a serene life of a quaint little village. Medina does not have a lot of job opportunies itself, but living midway between two larger cities eases this pain. It is a great place to live and raise a family.

Perfect Place To Raise Children
Medina seems to be in a time warp. It's quiet, there is hardly ever any crime, it is clean...
