Review of Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Murfreesboro vs. Knoxville?
Star Rating - 8/5/2014
I'm debating between a teaching position in Murfreesboro and Knoxville. I am a single 42 year old who is a personal trainer & fitness competitor, and enjoys being involved with church activities. Can anyone recommend one city over the other? I'm relocating from St. Pete/Clearwater, Fl. Ideally, I'd like an area that offers southern charm, friendly folks, festivals, restaurants, sporting events, hiking, boating, and biking/runner friendly. Of course the potential for meeting quality, Christian men would be an added bonus!
I'm torn between the areas surrounding Murfreesboro and Knoxville!
Thank you!!!

I just came across this page. I am also a personal trainer and fitness guru. I live in Murfreesboro and have for the past 15 years. I've traveled to Knoxville quite a bit for my health and wellness company and I personaly (partially biased) LOVE Murfreesboro.. for the southern charm, the friendly people, lots of restaurants, sporting events in Nashville, biker and runner friendly. We have the greenway that goes all throughout the city. Knoxville has us beat on hiking in my opinion because they are so close to Gatlinburg, but we have Fall Creek Falls that is not too far away and Chattanooga is another favorite place to hike. That's only an hour and a half away. I've done many day trips. Quality Christian men are hard to come by these days, but I have met many in Murfreesboro. I don't know if you have made a decision or not, but if you decide on Murfreesboro, I'd love to meet you!
