Review of Denver, Colorado

Community oriented, friendly, safe.

I lived in Torrington 5 years of the last six only to move to Denver for medical care and family. Moving back to Torrington. Traffic is not an issue. Denver-7 lanes going s and 3 turns lanes to go down side street to my home.Lots of people stoned in Denver while driving. Never experienced that in Torrington. Hit and runs in Denver. My doctor killed on bike. Never saw that in Torrington. The Warner provides great entertainment at reasonable prices. Lots of church dinners and activities.Three great seasons. Winter, although cold, is shorter than many places in U.S. and Torrington has long growing season with plenty of moisture. Close to UConn ??ealth and Yale is driveable. Only 82 miles from New York.A sense of community with lots of philanthropy. If you travel with the druggies you will find them in every city in the country. I never experienced any people doing drugs. The town is safe compared to most and has farmer’s markets, lots of lakes, great scenery, and a slower pace of life making it an idyllic rural area to live in. I have a point of comparison, having lived in 17 different places both cities and rural and 6 states: Texas, CA, MA, NY, CO, CTGive me Torrington any day of the week. I’ll pay higher taxes. The average house in Torrington is $300,000 less than my house in CO. So even with taxes it is still a lot cheaper to live.

If you drive down park ave west by the catholic charities you will see a bunch of homeless people smoking crack right in front of cops. The cops dont even do anything because the homeless population is so high now in civic center park and all up and down colfax. Needles and broken pipes almost everywhere in that area. Try walking with kids down to see the capital and you have to explain what meth and crack pipes are from people smoking out in public not a good place to live anymore I have been here 30 years.

Hahaha friendly and safe? Are you kidding me. Clearly you arent from here. It is neither friendly or safe. Homeless junkies everywhere. The crackheads are everywhere on Broadway, colfax and federal and exposition. The capital is over run with them and they have junkie camps in the park. Winter is a frozen hell. Rent is 1,500 for a 1br. No chance of a house unless you are rich.

Well, if your post was actually intelligible, it might make your comments regarding the "druggies" not quite so laughable since you seem to be high out of your mind. Doubly so since you also gave Denver 5 stars to go along with your diatribe. Back to Torrington with you and don't let the door slap you on the behind on the way out.
