Great Retirement Location!

Retired and moved here with my husband in 2020. Best decision we ever made. Amazing weather...even the rainy days are punctuated by crisp, sunny days in the winter. Not too hot or too cold. Incredible nature all around...mountains, ocean, rivers. Wonderful restaurants. Friendly people. People complain about healthcare but we've had nothing but positive experiences. Younger people may have issues with jobs, housing and education, but if you are looking for an affordable paradise to retire, look no more!

my husband and I are thinking of retiring there. Do you still love it? Are there really alot of homeless? --we are trying to get away from that!

I too want to know. Does anyone else live here and have input? We just housing shopped in Brookings and up the coast to Bandon. There are a few interests and a few concerns. The prices are good for housing and COL expenses. We like the sun. So, we are concerned about grey and rainy SDD. Our agent said it is not uncommon for people to retire there and then get divorced after a few years. I fear that it has to do with being so far from everything else.
