Retirement town still?
Star Rating - 9/4/2016
I am 43 divorced with three awesome children. Grew up here and it has changed beyond belief starting in the 1990's. Now we 83,000 people in Hemet with 26,000 child molesters and more than I can count live by or next door to schools. Who is allowing this to be ok? I live between Walmart and west valley and my surrounding areas are 483 child molesters. One is only two street signs up and there is two schools within steps!! This is against the law? Why doesn't city of Hemet or the police make them move? My neighborhood is loaded with children !!! And my neighborhood is loaded with sec molesters that love and are attracted to children. They are suppose to live where there are NO children. Is this just a Hemet thing? And we all know who was here in the 90's why the town is so bad now. Because Hemet signed a contract with Riverside allowing to bring all the molesters and other bad crime criminals to Hemet to live because it was so cheap. Well now it is cheap. Hemet is known as the ghetto !!! And I feel unsafe here, like I would be in Compton. Same kinda town. Crime rate is up -- thank you city of Hemet for that and more more and more. You would be a fool to raise your child here. I'm embarrassed of telling people where I live so I tell them Temecula. Shame on whoever signed this contract back in the 90's. Hemet is only a retirement town because it has many places for them to live and their neighbor may be a child molester. I would never want my grandparents to live here. In the ghetto.
Hemet needs a big change but I never think it will happen because they don't care. Sad cheap sick ghetto town.

Where did you get your figure of 26,000 child molesters in Hemet? That's a ridiculous exaggeration, and I challenge you to back that number up with a credible source. According to your population figure, that would work out to more than one child molester to every three non-molesters living in Hemet. Sounds like some sloppy research to me!

Here are figures from a credible source: "According to our research of California and other state lists, there were 360 registered sex offenders living in Hemet as of September 16, 2020. The ratio of all residents to sex offenders in Hemet is 236 to 1." Read more: http://www.city-data.com/so/so-Hemet-California.html So where did you get the 26,000 figure from, Jennifer?

This towns a disgusting mess. I am afraid to shop here day or night. I can’t wait to get out. The sad part is it’s reasonable to live here: rent etc. decent shopping. But you have to worry if your going to be approached by a street person in which you don’t know if they will hurt you or not. The neighborhoods are have trash and encampments of homeless. These homeless ride stolen kids bikes and have backpacks on. It’s the craziest worst place I have ever lived. Don’t move here. Run like H!!

Exactly what happens when you live in a state that is run by people that want to just hand out everything for free. Nothing is for free! Those hard working people in this state are tired of the high costs, taxes, homelessness, lawlessness and are moving out. Please stay in this state if you votes for all these things.. Do not ruin anymore states! My whole family is moving out of Ca. !~
