Review of Dover, Delaware

Overdue for some cultural activity!
Star Rating - 12/22/2007
I've lived in central Delaware now for more than ten years and find myself consistently having to drive either north (Phila) or west (Baltimore, Washington, D.C.) to find cultural activity. For a town with an airbase, which brings people here from all over the world, you'd think there might be more demand for interests other than Dover Downs and the gambling & Nascar crowd; but the one small theater in town is woefully underutilized and there are almost no art events to speak of.

My husband is getting a job in DC and we are very concerned about moving. The biggest state we have lived in is Co. We are looking for a safe city to live and raise our daughter. Could you give us some advise. We would like to live in a small town could even be as far away as an hour from DC. we are willing to look at all options.
