Ed doesn't have a clue. I was born and raised in 29 Palms and have lived here for over 50 years, so I really know this place. Las Vegas is not hotter than 29 Palms because it's at a higher altitude. And the crime rate here keeps going up due to all the people from LA and the Inland Empire who keep moving out here and bring their bad habits with them. And we now have a homeless problem on top of all that. That's the sad truth about 29 Palms. Check the San Bernardino County website demographics section and it will back me up. And the closest department store is in Yucca Valley which is 25 away. But we have a lot of bars and tattoo parlors. The City Council & Chamber of Commerce are totally useless.
