crime is deffinatly up in wilmore!

I lived in Wilmore for several years until a few months ago and moved to Nicholasville,and while in Wilmore I thought that Wilmore would be a nice calm place,but it was not. while I was living there I either knew or had heard from my police friend(who was on the wilmore police department at that time)that there were countless home burgalries,cars stolen,muggings,MANY drug busts,bank robbery at gunpoint,stores robbed at gunpoint,a home invasion!vandilism and in the paper just last wekk came out stating that in one night there were 2 cars stolen and 15 broken into! However it was rare to see that in the paper,because the police do not usually realse crimes to the press in order not to sully the reputation of the prestigous wilmore and its asbury university. that was even told to me by my friend on the police department.I am submitting this to let others no that things in wilmore are not as they were 30 years ago.wilmore is no longer a perfectly crime free nice housing place that it once was. Now wilmore has a realativly high crime rate and government housings set up. Now do not get me wrong wilmore is not horrible but it is not the best place in the world. Its crime has been steadily moving the last 12 years so consider this if you plan to move here. wilmore has alot to over an nice peolpe but keep in mind to lock your car and do not be nieve in that nothing bad will happen. thank you and just keep in mind wilmore is still a nice place to live.
