Good place for starting families

It's a nice, quiet neighborhood with mostly smaller, older homes. Very easy access to public transportation and shopping. Good place for young couple just starting out, or just starting a family. Lots of family activities. Not a lot of neighborhood "community", though, as everybody commutes
