Review of Gillette Wyom,

Lots of money, but little class.

It goes to show how you view this is a matter of perspective. We have lived in Gillette for four years and think the people are wonderful. We too are professionals and educated. The schools are amazing with the newest technology, low teacher/student ratio and teachers that really care about the students. My children have art and music classes every week along with PE. They have music programs every year along with student art shows. There is also the Ava art center that offers classes and birthday parties. I have found there is something here for every interest a child might have. My family is very diverse and that has been a non-issue here. Yes there are many shift workers. Most of these families actually have one stay at home parent or they work within the children's school schedule. Drugs are no more prevalent here than any other small town we have lived. Crime is low but yes of course bad things happen like anywhere else. As for housing there is a very wide gambit of homes available. Housing is a bit expensive, many homes in the 300k range however are brand new and have many upgrades. I know this because we took two years to finally buy.
The hardest thing about living in Gillette is the winters. They are extremely cold and long.
We have stayed in Gillette and plan to stay because it is a great place to raise children.
