Wow. I had already decided that I would not move there in retirement as I had planned, but was not totally convinced--maybe I could make it work but no. The gay takeover has convinced me it's not possible. Your post has sealed, and confirmed what others have already said. I'm a black woman and it saddens me that it is a world class city because of the work and efforts of black people only to give it up to gays. Your description of the city was like reading a novel--but the truth instead of fiction. Hope that makes sense. Thank you very much. It is hard to give up my intent to move there but you put the final nail in to give it up. Much appreciated.

I'm just curious. Why do you stay in Atlanta if you dislike it so much? I've been living in NYC for years and have had enough of it. I can't wait to get out. Anyway, Atlanta is one of my picks for relocating. Is living in Atlanta really that bad or do not want outsiders to move there so jobs can be saved for those already living in the city?
