Hot and dry in the summer months. Can get over 100 degrees. Winters vary. This winter we have had a good amount of snowfall and temperatures have been in the low 20s to 30s. We saw a few negative temps in late Dec and early Jan. Home prices vary but your average home price is in 165K range. Seems like more homes are being built and that's a good thing because there seems to be a good amount of older homes that only offer 1 bathroom.

Yes hot and dry in Hermiston, winters are gray and get an inversion layer, can get a fair amount of freezing rain, can get snow but doesn’t always. Can get 20 below too, but overall lots of sunny days, I actually loved the summers there. Housing, I bought a house just outside of Echo in 2010, 3000 sg ft, 4 bed 3 bath on an acre of land for $230,000, so home prices vary there, I felt like that was a good buy. Sold it 3 years later, (divorce) for $270,000.
