Highlands Ranch from a Resident's Viewpoint
Star Rating - 7/23/2014
Cannot not believe all of the negative comments from people who are not residents. We have been here about 18 months. It is a planned community that is about 35 years old. Has wide streets and pretty good traffic flow but does get clogged briefly during peak travel times. Shopping and services are very good conveniently located. The community has four recreation centers that are popular (crowded at time) but set up very nice for young children especially the pool at Eastridge. We have found the community to be very friendly with more activities offered than we can take advantage of at the present time. The area has exceeded our expectations.

The only negative at the moment is the Douglas County school district which is in great turmoil at the moment. So if you have school age children this may not be the community for you with regard to the public schools. And it couple several years before everything settles down.
