Review of Bend, Oregon

So over-rated
Star Rating - 3/9/2021
Horrible place to settle down permanently. The locals are inbred morons. The transplants from Portland and California are greedy, self-obsessed, and take all they can from the community without giving anything back. Homelessness, potheads, and other assorted misfits/addicts/felons all over the place. Cost of living is absurd for such pathetic and poorly planned community. Yes, there are some mountains nearby but the skiing is nothing impressive. The people who move here wish they could afford to live in Vail or Sun Valley but had to settle for sagebrush Oregon.

I think this review is very biased. Bend is beautiful, lovely views of spectacular mountains, a clean river with park/play amenities runs thru the center of town, loads of sunny days: Bend, Oregon gets 11 inches of rain, on average, per year. The US average is 38 inches of rain per year. Bend averages 21 inches of snow per year. The US average is 28 inches of snow per year. On average, there are 162 sunny days per year in Bend. The US average is 205 sunny days. Bend gets some kind of precipitation, on average, 72 days per year. Precipitation is rain, snow, sleet, or hail that falls to the ground. In order for precipitation to be counted you have to get at least .01 inches on the ground to measure. Weather Highlights Summer High: the July high is around 82 degrees Winter Low: the January low is 24 Rain: averages 11 inches of rain a year Snow: averages 21 inches of snow a year. Bend is growing--too fast with little regulation. The mountain foothills are filling with upper middle class yuppies. That's difficult, but it's because it's sucha desirable place to live! Great schools too!
