Review of Athens, West Virginia

Great Town
Star Rating - 9/15/2010
I went to Concord College which is now Concord University in 2002. I pledged with the Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity Phi Mu chapter that same year. I loved the town and it's inhabitants. You had your occasional drunken brawl but nothing major. Alot of retirees live there and of course you have the students. In alot of cities you can't walk down the sidewalk at 2 in the morning and not get yelled at by passing teenagers or get something thrown at you or worse. In Athens you don't have to worry about that, at least not when I lived there. I think if you have transportation that it is an ideal place to live. Princeton is 15 mins away along with Bluefield. The Virginia State line is very close as well. It's just the greatest little city in the world in my opinion.
