The area isn't as safe as this person thinks. There is domestic violence everywhere and a huge influx of Brasillians, some criminals that aren't legal & immigration & probation officers ignore because they do a lot of the brick paying for fancy driveways, etc. and labor work that most locals don't want to do because it gets so hot in the summer. There have been several rapes and murders, one during the day in a dumpster fenced around it in front of Shakes Custard/Waffle House. A kidnapping by 3 Eglin Air Force basemen on a young lady, murders down by Harbourwalk Village by the docks, etc. you have to be or know a 1st responder to be privy to all that really goes on around Destin, SRB or surrounding areas.
