Moving to Gatlinburg to retire.

I am recently retired and have plans to move to Gatlinburg this summer and I need some info about Apts, part time jobs to keep busy and social. I am visiting the end of june to tie some things together. I have loved this place for yrs as I have visited it many many times. I will be 60 next month. I have wanted to live in or near the Gatlinburg area most my life but my dream keeps getting smashed for several reasons. I am trying to go forward and start my move as soon as I get a job there or find a place to live so I can get a job there. How did you make that move and can you suggest an affordable place to rent? I will make my dream come true some how. Did you make your move and did you find the affordable housing?
