You are an intelligent young man, and many of your points are valid. I will say it is not a place for a young person like yourself. Have you considered going to college somewhere else, or exploring other places to live? Even Columbia or Augusta might be more "fun" for your....more the scene for young, single person.

Aiken has a long way to go in terms of recreation- that is true. As someone who works in and for the community, I can vouch that making Aiken more "fun" is a priority. In the last year multiple recreational facilities have opened. That being said, if you're looking for a funky night-life kinda place, Aiken isn't quite there... yet. I don't think that makes Aiken the place you are describing. It offers a lot to many different kinds of people, I'm sorry you didn't find your place.
