Review of Citrus Heights, California

Good family community

We bought our home here 23 years ago. I was pregnant when we moved in and we have raised three children here now all adults. We are close to schools and at the time it was one of the better school districts. My kids are grown so I don't know what it is now. There are plenty of grocery stores to choose from. We are also near Lake Folsom. There are plenty of parks nearby which are all kept up very well. We have a lovely Library. We have all the amenities which most Suburban living offers. We have Costco, Walmart Walgreens Etc all nearby. There are plenty of nice restaurants that we frequent often. i have lived all over this country & i think our weather is great and mild compared to other states. Summers are hot but we have air conditioning and a pool. We could use some more rain. The only problems I find is that the homeless are closing in. But I've seen far worse in other areas of Sacramento County. And unfortunately there are a lot of car break-ins. Sadly criminals are like cancer they ruin it for everybody. But for the most part I feel safe in our city and we have had a very happy life here, thus far.
