More Laid-back Country Feel in Destrehan

If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of New Orleans, then Destrehan is a great place to look. The crime is significantly lower, and the schools are the best in the state. The whole community has a real country feel to it, and everyone is very friendly in this small town. The commute to the city is only 20 miles and well worth it. The shopping and other conveniences are all still available in a 10-15 minute drive from town. Loving it in Destrehan!
