Review of Winston-Sal,

The living is easy
Star Rating - 7/14/2015
It's a hard place to set down roots. Most people and their predecessors have been in WS for generations and know nothing else. They think the sun rises and sets over Winston. They are not interested in hearing about where YOU came from. But the quality of life is not bad. The living is easy and laid-back. The influx of new people has made the natives a little more loosened up to strangers. The cost of living is not bad. The weather has some good variety. It rains a lot in the late spring, early summer. The fall is beautiful. The winters are variable...cold as heck for a week then warm for another. It's certainly not an intellectual town. It's a good place to raise kids but again the people are a bit cliquish.
