Duarte is horrible

Been living here for over 40 years and gang members took over, many shootings and crime makes you not want to leave your home. City has 3 police patrol cars and they patrol the areas of the higher priced homes. Parks are gang hangouts and there are sirens and police helicopters every night if you live below huntington dr....even above your cars and homes get robbed.
The city does very little to change things as long as their homes are safe.
Too bad Duarte is a little town full of young gangbangers that shoot at anyone and they get away with it because under 18.
DONT BUY IN DUARTE!

This sounds scary - you have lived 40 years and have not moved? I am considering buying there and liked the peace and laid back, inexpensive little city which is still minutes from the happening spots in Pasadena and Arcadia. I have asked around scores of business owners and residents and they seem happy! I did not see any helicopters or police cars north of 210.Can you post some more facts?
