being a navigation district, you do not own land. you buy the right to lease the property and the improvements on it. the threat to take your lease can be used as a club. we are at the end of a very good road. the last five miles is port mansfield, past the five mile bridge. the other side is the U.S.A. on the positive side- motorcycle rides are great, but there is a lot of wildlife crossing, so take care. good restaurants, the best fishing on this coast. free pier and access to wade fishing. two marinas with bait. the housing bubble popped, there are lots of places for sale. for fishermen and women there are tournaments, guides and plenty of rent houses.
