No matter where you go in this world you will not find the garden of eden. There will always be some sort of crime everywhere you choose to live because we live amongst "people" and not all are up to par. The main thing is to find a place where it is not overwhelming and safe enough that you do not feel like you cannot put your foot outside your door or keep having to look over your shoulder. Just use your street smarts of being aware no matter where you are in this world because no where is perfect, but many places are pretty close to it.
