Not to happy here
Star Rating - 3/4/2010
I though moving away from Detroit was going to be a good thing. from the voilence, crim and murder. Plus everyone seem to be in a bad mood and really rude. I lived in small cities and ig cities been to europe and all over the usa. We moved here and it was a big slap in the face. The good things i list first like some of the people (20%) are really nice and act human, with friend ship and a helping hand. The mountains and hills are so pretty and the place is peaceful, lots of places to hike, lots of places to fish and we actually have seasons here, unlike Phoneix. It snows ans sometimes it snows good almst like Michigan. the weather is about 90 in the summer with 0-30 % humidity and in the winter it gets between 30 to 10 degrees. Unlike michigans weather witch got much colder. But the bad things are the snow goes away to quickly, they really dont keep up with the roads and the drivers around here have no sense of the ability to due. The will ride your butt even if your doing 10 over the limit and then when you go to turn the honk and yell at you, im lost. I had that alot in mich but that was from people runnung red lights, cutting them off, these people due it becuase they lack brain power and common sense they would never make it in a big city with out getting killed lol. Lack of education, lack of motovation, lack of common sense, drug use, nothing to do, i could go on and on. But if you are thinking about moving here think again, visit it four about two weeks and get to know everyone and you will see, oh here is a hint if your not Morman your will have the hardest time here with getting a job or anything the town is ran and this is not an overexaggeration. It kind of funny in a way but not to funny when you live here three years and lose 4 jobs becuase they find out your not with thier faith. Oh well one more year and we are moving , not srue where yet any ideas anyone and dont say detroit the unemployment rate thier is 21%

i love heber and i'm not mormon! Getting work there has never been a problem for me or my children. You sound very judgemental of people. There are many highly educated people here and most of us come from large cities like you and survived just fine. Since your driving issues seem to have followed you from Detroit, perhaps the problem is yours? I think it's just as well that your leaving.

I am sorry you had such a bedtime I know they coming from a big city to a very small town is a shock I too am from Chicago but I live in Heber I am a Christian I live my faith and I'm sorry that you haven't met the right people I know it is a predominantly Mormon community it does have a tendency to ostracize you but you can't find good people everywhere you go in in this life you just have to have the patience to find them I hope wherever you go you're able to find what you're looking for

I agree there's to many drug addicts and very prejudice mormons. The police are a joke and let the residents get away with everythingbut hassle the visitors. There are many properties full of junk old cars, trash, it's awful looking and the count won't do a thing about it. Don't waste your time even looking
