Review of Seymo,

Mean-spirited people
Star Rating - 9/13/2013
I have lived here for ten years and agree that Seymour, Indiana is a sophomoric community where outsiders are not welcome and the parents are worse bullies than the children. I have joined churches and coached kid teams and donated time and money and it matters not. The people at Immanuel church are especially ugly even when you are volunteering. The children are a reflection of the parents. Even teachers are cruel if you aren't from here. The church people turn a ridiculously blind eye to egregiously bullying at school and Sunday school in the name of the almighty dollar. The pedophiles and other sex offenders are abundant and enjoy suspended sentences compliments of the judges too. I regret coming here and ruining my children's childhoods. We do our best to stay positive and deal with the culture of juvenile adults and bullies we encounter every day in school, sports and Sunday school all the while looking forward to the day we can leave and try to forget how foolish we have felt thinking this would be a nice place to live.

There are horrible places in this town it is true. But is this not the same everywhere you go? There is a reason you moved here in the first place is there not? You are the one who chose to send your kids to Immanuel. A hypocritical school/church full of pricks that push their kids to the ground just so they will raise them selves to a life of nothingness. Chasing their own pride to hopefully, one day, reach the pride of their parents. Only to repeat the lives their parents made. But you are being just as hypocritical as the parents. All adults at immanuel? The entire town of Seymour? Your stereotypical review makes me sick. I do not like most people who went to immanuel but I can not say that I disagree with every single parent or teacher. I have friends from Texas, Minnesota, and Michigan so I do not understand what you mean about people being unfriendly to outsiders. Also out of 20,000 people that live in this town there are only 57 registered sex offenders. I agree that number is much to high but it is not that bad if you look at the national average. Please do not make assumptions on loose skeptical proof. There are other churches and schools in this area. I apologize that you did't enjoy your stay but do not judge before you try other options.
