Review of Lexington, North Carolina

Tip of the spear town to the Triad!
Star Rating - 5/4/2022
I've have been in Lexington for about five years now. I am a military guy that is been around the world. I grew up nearby in Salisbury North Carolina which unfortunately has too much of the bad element type of people. I have to say I am proud of now live in Lexington North Carolina. We are known for the barbecue capital for pig that is pit cooked. So you will definitely find that here. As with any southern town it is what you make it. Getting involved with the local churches they are very accommodating and that is the way to go in the south if you want to get to know people in your neighborhood. Also get involved with voting get to know your local police force, they will tell you the better places to live and political representatives. Also if you like laid-back and Andy Griffith type of places this one should be one on your list. I feel it's a great place to raise families as long as you stay in the neighborhoods that are known to be safe. As with every southern town there's always a bad part of town. But this area has less bad element type of people. Neighbors watch out for one another here and we are friends with the police. The good people of this town out number the bad type of people. There is quite a bit of diversity due to the fact they have a Japanese company NKG ,and from Austria Egger wood products nearby. Plenty of room for other development. There is also a Chewy plant ,Aldi's Warehouse that is just a click away from the Lexington exit off of 85. Very nice area to locate near Childers Winery. Has various nature parks that are awesome to walk and get at one with nature. High Rock Lake is a great summer activity that many people enjoy for water activities. One of the best-kept secrets is Lexington City Golf Course it's hardly ever busy and very economical. A lot of activities are held at Denton Park in Denton North Carolina which is only 30 minutes from here. We're if you really want to get away from it all that City will take you back in time. Also close to the mountains of North Carolina only about an hour and a half away even the Mountain Valley of Virginia. And you're only about 2 hours and 45 minutes to Myrtle Beach. High Point, Winston-Salem, Greensboro are all just a stone's throw away. Traffic is not really a problem but people drive really fast so be careful. The Summers are busier here because of High Rock. But nothing really to complain about. Getting a lot of new retail establishments which will make shopping here easier. We have a good Walmart, Lowe's Home Improvement and a lot of people like Food Lion for groceries. Lots of nice eateries and improving all the time. I feel this city has one of the best vibes for any City around here. If you want a peaceful tip of the spear type of town that is near the heartbeat of North Carolina which is the Triad this is your place.
