Dalton crime

Site gives crime rate for Dalton as 5 for violent crime and 6 for property. I would like to know how anyone arrived at this number, when Dalton has a personal crime rate of 18 out of 10,000 and property crime rate of 36 per 10,000. With a total population around 1000, this translates to...not much. Stillwater NY (for example) is given a low crime rating of 1,1--and it IS a nice safe little town--yet its incidence of crime is still higher than Dalton's. It is not surprising that Dalton doesn't even appear on the droplist as i'm submitting this comment. This won't go through until i choose a 'city' so i'm using Livingston (as it is Livingston county)...but this all shows no one paid much attention to Dalton when this information was being posted. Please look into it, someone?
