Review of Capitola, California

A quaint and charming village and a world class be
Star Rating - 4/18/2008
Considering the amount of crime throughout the world today, Capitola is exceptionally safe and livable. It is one of the few places anywhere where we feel free to allow our Grandchildren to roam about. It is a small beach village with only 10,000 residents, and a police department that has one of the most rapid response times of any place in the US. Sure, you might find a disgruntled person now and again, but from my point of view as a world traveler this is truly a splendid place to live. No automobile is needed, you can walk everywhere. Outdoor door cafe's on the beach, shops, art galleries, markets, coffeehouses, live entertainment, a wharf and great beach are all within easy walking distance. Yes, it is expensive. However, all places of beauty, that are culturally interesting and safe to walk in are expensive the world over.
