Review of Brookings, Oregon

My husband and I are planning on moving to Brookings Oregon in 2 to 3 years to retire. We are wondering about what type of health care is available in Brookings, ie - Doctors, Hospitals etc.... We visit at least 2 to 3 times per year, just love it there. We are from Redding, and we are so ready to give up the hot summers for the cool ocean breeze......

The health care here is not very good. You have to drive at least 2 hours one way or another to get good health care. We don't even have a hospital here. It is 30 miles either way to go to a very small hospital. Then they fly you to a good hospital if you need it. There are not very many Doc.'s here that are any good. You would need to shop for a good Dr. If you have health problems. It is a very beautiful place though with mild weather. I love the beauty here and that is why I am still here.
