Review of Sumrall, Mississippi

Sumrall - Great Little Town
Star Rating - 2/12/2009
To the locals, Sumrall is known as the Mayberry of Mississippi. The town is small but only about 12 miles from the Hattiesburg metropolitan area. Sumrall is in Lamar County, which is a dry county, and the crime rate is extremely low. There are several churches, a couple restaurants, a great public school, a grocery store, and several small businesses. Through Sumrall runs one of the nicest biking/equestrian/hiking trails in the country - the Long Leaf Trace - 42 miles stretching from Hattiesburg to Prentiss, MS. Sumrall is an excellent place to raise a family! All of the people are friendly including the mayor, who will come out of her office to meet you and shake your hand. We visit Sumrall regularly and love it!
