University a great asset

Weatherford is large enough to have significant amenities: hotels, museums, parks, walking trails, golf course, large public sports complex. Tom Stafford Space Museum would do justice to a city many times the size of Weatherford. Southwestern Oklahoma State University has excellent programs in pharmacy, music, recreation, business, and other areas, and contributes greatly to the quality of life in Weatherford. A new performing arts center has been approved and funded and will be completed by 2011. Location on I-40 gives easy access to metro Oklahoma City and major airport in an hour.
Weatherford is small enough to be friendly and welcoming. Downtown is attractive. YMCA offers outstanding facilities for fitness and recreation. Wind energy production is large and growing here. I've lived in Weatherford since 1999, chose to retire here, and recommend it heartily.
