Local incomes are several thousand dollars below average for the USA as a whole. In part, this is attributable to the fact Roland is a bedroom community of Ft. Smith, AR. With prevailing local provincial attitudes the immediate area is not likely to experience much commercial or industrial growth. However, as a retirement haven, there is much to recommend the area. As a career move, look elsewhere!
