Review of San Gabri,

San Francisco--wonderful but expensive
Star Rating - 3/5/2011
Love the views at every turn along the coast areas of San Francisco--Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Bay Bridge, the open ocean. Feel like you are living in a postcard. Cost of living, though...hmmm...that is tough. To buy is prohibitive, renting is possible and great if you can get a rent-controlled apt. A walkable city, especially if you are in a "neighborhood" (one that has all the amenities: post office, produce market, restaurants, park). This is urban life, but recreation is nearby in Marin across the GG bridge, south along the peninsula, and east to Mt. Diablo. Skiing and winter sports are 3-4 hours away. Symphony, museums, cultural events. It is a complete world unto itself.
