Review of Huntsville, Alabama

Great people moving in, awful people leaving!
Star Rating - 5/26/2021
There are two types of negative reviews here. 1) People are salty about not being able to afford this place anymore because it's growing. 2) The "ol' country southerners" are salty about how the city is diversifying because they have little man syndrome and can't stand the new talent coming into town to replace them.

I don’t think that’s the case. The problem is that to working class people, Huntsville used to be an affordable place to live with the convenience of the city. Now, with many people flocking to Huntsville because of it’s affordability, prices (especially rent prices) have gone up. Many lower middle class people are struggling to afford to live in their home city because of the increase in prices. No, it’s not little man syndrome, people are upset because it’s more expensive and the development is destroying the environment of the metro area. Locals are being displaced. Those “ol’ country southerners” aren’t upset about diversification, they’re upset because their home is being bulldozed for another neighborhood of copy-paste houses, and small-minded people like you who look down on them for their way of life are moving into them

Idk about that. I lived in Huntsville on and off 17 years there have been times where it was great and growing ans times where it seemed boring ,stifling , elitist, racist, and just down right weird and even cruel. When ever somebody tries to push the city into modern times they are shut down. I hope the new population growth beings in more diversity and common sense something that was definitely lacking . I can understand people being salty about their experiences there especially the racism

Can't wait to visit Huntsville to check you guys out for my pending retirement (once travel gets back to normal). Absolutely can't stand living in Houston any longer.
