2017 Wildomar review
Star Rating - 1/29/2017
Wildomar, like other places in Southern California, is growing and becoming more "suburbanized." Once a sleepy rural Inland Empire town, it is, especially the areas along Clinton Keith southward, part of the Temecula Valley conglomerate of Temecula, Murrieta, and Winchester. It's population is now about 35,000. Housing prices are reasonable (for CA) compared to Murrieta and Temecula, but are on the upswing. The weather is pleasant most months of the year, but can get very hot (over 100 deg) for about 3-4 months in the summer. It is not Palm Springs or Phoenix hot, however. It still cools down overnight. There is a small hospital (Inland Valley) and several grocery store chains, along with an increasing variety of fast food restaurants. Crime doesn't seem to be a big factor, but it does exist -- mainly small property theft and some vandalism at least from what I have heard about in my neighborhood. Overall, I would recommend Wildomar as a place to live. It is growing, and depending on what you prefer, that could be a good thing (more neighbors, stores, restaurants, services, etc.) or bad (loss of quietness, more open space). I hope this helps people in their curiosity or in their decision about relocating to Wildomar.
