Review of Oceano, California

Ugly
Star Rating - 3/8/2010
oceano is a realy ugly place to live in besides having no side walks, realy bad ugly weather, and no point of existing, they have a little gang that calls them selfs oceano 13 oysters or what ever, they are always getting put down by there rivals Nipas 13 (in nipomo). Some people might find that place intersting but it is dead and boring. So over all i would not recomend living there, if you'r looking for a place in the five cities i recomend Grover beach or close to santa maria in a nice town named Nipomo.

I lived in Oceano for the first 21 years of my life. It wasn't the greatest but hardly any different from Grover Beach! Of course there isn't much in Oceano but you are still close to everything in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties.

Thanks for a terrible review, mr. positivity. Since there are no reviews of Oceano on here, I will add what little I can add just so this guy's terrible post isn't the only thing on here. I've only just visited Oceano today for the first time and it was a pretty little town. Seemed like a nice place to live. The weather was actually really nice. Not too hot but still beautiful and comfortable (in August).

Maybe not every street in Oceano may have sidewalks but Nipomo also lacks the amount of sidewalks. Let's not forget about the tragic accident that happened just last year, on January 18. Not only does Nipomo have a lack of sidewalks but also 0 lighting which cause the death of Matthew Diaz. Matthew Diaz was hit by a car while he was riding his skateboard. Hochderffer stated “There’s no lighting, there are no sidewalks; the odds of getting hit are pretty high,” In Oceano, not any of my family members, friend, friend families or myself have ever had an accident with cars because of the lack of sidewalks. In addition, the weather is not only superb but it's perfect weather. Anyone would kill for this weather because it's never too hot or too cold. OCC has multiple clubs that help our community with small projects including: picking up trash, raising money for our community to improve Oceano (sidewalks, etc), raising money for the poor, collecting clothes for people who can't afford, etc.) You talk from a perspective from the window of your car. You have to really live there for years to realize Oceano is a lovely city and not meant for tourist. I would most definitely not recommend Nipomo nor Oceano for staying but pismo for sure.
