Review of Corcoran, Minnesota

Voter Registration in Corcoran, Minnesota.
Star Rating - 2/24/2009
This is a quick note about the political affiliations for Corcoran, Minnesota. SperlingViews indicated that close to 60% of Corcoran residents are registered Democrats. However, Democrats who move to Corcoran soon find out they are not in the majority, but the minority. Corcoran votes anywhere from 60-70 percent for the Republican candidates - and has so for years. Even in a down year (2008) for Republicans Corcoran still voted in heavy majorities for the Republican candidates. See below.

2008 voting results:

66/32 Mcain(R) over Obama(D)- President
59/24 Coleman(R) over Frankin(D)- US Senate
64/25 Paulsen(R) over Madia(D)- US House
70/30 Peppin(R) over the Democrat - State House

In fact, there are very few areas in the NW metro that are not dominated by republican voters.
