I grew up in Maryland in fact my neighborhood is now besieged with unemployed blacks living with drug dealers, drugs, on fentanyl, MS13 gang members. Everyone of us can look at how the demographics change but those opining about unfriendly people are contributing to the unfriendly atmosphere in modern America. The ignorance is when plebes believe that town problems are the locals to mitigate when in fact those people complaining most likely voted in a do nothing official. Or they did not vote at all. I have lived in Florida for 17 years leaving Washington D.C. I adore Florida. I have lived in Venice Florida, Sarasota, Florida, and now Homosassa Florida. The people here are friendly, open, kind, and accessible . From the grocery shopping to neighbors all are happy to help. I find there are no sanctimonious people in Florida they do not ask "how much you make or where you work" they do not care. They care about who you are not what you do. Why? Because most people here want to be here. They chose to live here freely without recrimination. I agree with this woman it is a great place to be born and raised.
