Chris, I agree! I was raised mormon and tried so hard to live that lifestyle. Especially, for my family sake. But, finally, after years of trying to be "good enough" for these hyper judgement fairytale livers, and after being the one to sacrifice, serve and support them, I finally realized that no matter how good a mormon/ person I was, I was never good enough, never valued, not served in return, constantly scrutinzed, and judged. And never really accepted or invited to the party. But, always judged and put down in the sickly sweet mormon way. Perhaps, I never lived in the big enough mansion, or was not able to have the 5 plus expected children. I can not afford the international vacations every year. Nor, the lips puffed or breast implants. Utah has the highest rate of cosmetic surgeries for those in quest of being good enough to have been naturally blessed by God. ;-) I gave up trying to find " community" or genuine love among them. Their heaven would be my hell. Truly. Other than all the shunning and self righteous piety, Utah is a stunning location. The mountains are gorgeous. The outdoors folks seem to love it here.
