One of the nicest places to live in the Northeast

I've lived here for many years. If you want to live in the Northeast in reasonable proximity to an urban center, Concord is as nice as it gets. The town is beautiful. There are thousands of acres of conservation land. It is remarkably historic: the town was the first inland town in Massachusetts and the site of the first battle of the American Revolution. The town center puts the capital Q in Quaint. The public schools have a great reputation. The downsides: Houses are very expensive. There is virtually no diversity -- the town is predominantly white. Finally, the commute into Boston by car isn't very much fun.
