Beautiful rural areas, bad inner city vibes

Bennington Vermont is absolutely gorgeous on its outskirts, old Bennington is absolutely beautiful with lots of historical sites as well as North Bennington not being half bad but once you get into town it's nothing but trouble. It has a very high heroin rate and way too many druggie type people only causing trouble. The police departments do their very best but they're under staffed and I feel for them. The sheriffs department and state police are the most polite in the country other than North Carolina. I definitely don't think it's a good place to raise a family and only recommend it for a visit if you're visiting the battlefield, monument, playing a round at mount Anthony country club or checking out Hemings motors other than that there's nothing here except a high crime rate and nothing else to do.
