Review of Glen Rock, New Jersey

what culture?
Star Rating - 8/2/2006
This is a lovely town with pretty streets, lots of trees, nice people, abundant wealth, a diverse religious community, and a small, convenient downtown. All excellent. My only gripe: the arts aren't a priority. There is lots of activity around sports and sporting facilities, which include the excellent town pool and many parks and sports fields. But the high school doesn't even have an orchestra! There are very few non-sports activity optionns for kids or adults. Granted, we are very close to NYC and other cultural centers, so that may account for it, but, really, no orchestra at the high school?
