Michelle is spot on about Charlevoix and northern Michigan as a whole.I thought I was moving to a quaint little town that would be safe for a young widow with a teenage daughter.Boy was I wrong. I encountered aggressive sexual harrassment and worse on several jobs especially on the landscaping scene.Law enforcement will turn a blind eye to it as everyone knows everyone.People are standoffish and snobby even the blue collar crowd.cost of living is high and definitely not worth the money.Restaurants are nothing special.Shops only cater to the tourists and wealthy. People in general don't like to work, alcoholism and drug abuse is high.Schools are okay,but no real opportunity for young people.so glad I recently moved to a better state where the people are nice,honest and hard working like myself.Smart people move the rest stay in Michigan.Charlevoix is the worst
