Expensive - 6/13/2006
I have lived in Northern CA all my life. The area has some nice features to it, weather and numerous events to go to. It is just too expensive to live here though. Homes cost far more than most other states, for half of a million dollars you can get an ugly house in a bad neighborhood. There are a lot of events, baseball, opera, football whatever but you have to be prepared to pay a lot for it and have a huge crowd when you get there. Going to a SF Giants game will run you $30 or more per ticket, $20 for parking and whatever money it takes to buy food or drinks and to travel to get to the stadium. I know a lot of people move here for jobs and they love it, but it is just not what I am looking for
