The area is known for its rural beauty and parks that invite outdoor recreation like hiking, biking and camping. Visitors also come to explore the history of Central Florida at the nearby Orange City Historical Museum or take a tour of the Mennello Museum of American Art in Orlando. The city also has plenty of other attractions including wineries, breweries, farmers markets and more. Deland offers a tranquil atmosphere with plenty to do for all ages, making it a great place to live or visit.

You can not be serious? You are describing every area all over the U.S. The same thing goes on in our area as does Umatilla, Deland oh and lets not forget Daytona Beach. Just like anywhere else some people are not nice and some people are. Addiction, violence and oh yes lets not forget Rednecks are everywhere. You failed to post our area also is made up of mexican, black, indian etc. Everyone acts like they are so much better then these rural areas. In the real world this is everywhere you go. Umatilla is a nice small town, but beware of rural Lake County neighborhoods.
