Eclectic bunch of people - 2/16/2010
I dont think theres any other place like Ridgewood in the country. Even in areas like Flushing where the numbers in diversity are amazing, theres different sections within the neighborhood of different races. Thats not the case in Ridgewood. While when you get more closer to the middle village side it tends to become more Polish and towards the bushwick side more Hispanic/Black for the most part the different cultures work together and live within eachother. There are no sections of strictly white people or strictly Hispanic people, they are all together. The neighborhod breaks down as Hispanic, European, Nepal, Philippines, Blacks, other Asian groups,etc. Ridgewood truly is a place of diversity and hopefully the diversity will continue to Read More

Living in Queens - 1/3/2007
This area may be fine for newcomers and really it is not a bad place to live. But I have grown tired of the population, houses sitting on houses, overcroweded shcools, streets, traffic, and noise, etc. I feel very safe here. Probably more safe than I would in the suburbs but that is where we are heading. Liveing here really is unaffordable and I am tired of having a great salary with out anything but my crappy too small apartment for 5 people. I need Read More
