Chowan county, northeastern North Carolina - 6/29/2012
I lived in this county for more than 2 years. I could not obtain any job. The county had houses for sale when I first got there and the same ones were for sale when I left. Many industries left. The closest Walmart was over 30 miles away. The weather was very humid in the summer. Winters were tolerable. The highest number of snakes in the entire state. I have lived in 9 states and sorry to say that North Carolina was the worst. It might be better to live in a larger city like Winston-Salem or similar. I don't miss it there at all. Read More
