Franklin County is located in southeastern Nebraska with a population estimated around 3200 persons. Franklin is both the largest city and county seat for this area known for its rich tradition in agriculture which still continues to drive much of the local economy today. Corn, wheat, soybeans, oats and hay rank at top among crops harvested while additional industries such as general contracting and home construction have become increasingly prominent within recent years.
